HOW IS STUCCO DIFFERENT FROM PARGING?
Stucco is made up of a mixture of sand, cement, lime, and added fibers. This is mixed with water and troweled onto your foundation and applied in a number of coats depending on the current state of the existing foundation. Stucco is generally more durable than parging due to the application of a fiber mesh that is installed prior to the first scratch coat of stucco. While the end result will look similar to parging, you can be confident that a proper application of stucco will last longer.
